Maria Lucia Peraza is the IT Quality Assurance Manager of Copa Airlines – One of the most consistently profitable airlines in the world, based in Panama City, Panama. For the last 5 years, she has been responsible for starting up and driving the continuous improvement of the Testing and Quality Assurance Practices in Copa’s IT organization, which has been experiencing a constant transformation in an extremely complex, fast-growing and cost-efficiency driven business environment. Within Copa she has managed the delivery of quality products and services in a multi-vendor and global context.
Maria Lucia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering and a Master’s degree in IT Management from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, and a Master’s degree of Science in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. She is currently focusing on the expansion and optimization of Copa’s Quality Assurance Capabilities and in the process of earning a Lean Six Sigma Certification.
